Why I Became a Registered Massage Therapist
My journey to becoming an RMT began with a deep interest in anatomy and muscle function, shaped by years of playing high-level hockey. Massage therapy was part of my own recovery routine—helping me maintain muscle health and prevent injury. However, it was a personal health crisis that truly showed me the broader healing potential of massage.
After experiencing a severe allergic reaction that led to ongoing anxiety and nervous system dysregulation, massage therapy became a vital part of my recovery. It helped me reconnect with my body, manage stress, and begin to heal holistically. That experience inspired me to become an RMT, with a commitment to supporting others through both physical and emotional recovery.
In Practice Since 2015
Since becoming a Registered Massage Therapist in 2015, I’ve worked with a wide range of clients—from those managing everyday stress and tension, to individuals navigating anxiety, chronic conditions, and palliative care. My practice is centered on creating a calm, safe, and supportive space for healing.
With over 100 hours of advanced training in TMJD (temporomandibular joint dysfunction) and a strong foundation in nervous system regulation, I bring a thoughtful and evidence-informed approach to every treatment. My goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered in your care.
Whether you’re dealing with muscle tension, stress, headache, neck or jaw pain, or looking for a calm space to support your mental well-being, I’m here to work with you to create a personalized treatment plan that meets your goals.
