What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a hands-on, gentle therapy that helps relieve acute or chronic discomforts. Osteopathy uses a variety of techniques to help find and release tissues that are restricting movements and circulation, consequently, creating poor mechanics and function. Unless there was a direct trauma experienced, the causes of the symptoms are often located in other parts of the body from where the symptoms express themselves. In Osteopathy, the goal is to feel and treat any restrictions and tension lines to help restore balance and assist the body in using its own self-regulating and self-healing mechanisms. A variety of techniques are used to promote circulation to area(s) of restriction(s), increasing range of motion of joints thus reducing stiffness and stress, relieving head tension and aches with cranial sacral, helping the body adapt to hormonal and structural changes during various stages of life and remove the underlying causes of pain.

Osteopathy can help with a variety of discomforts such as back, neck, shoulder, pelvic aches, headaches, foot issues, arthritis, pregnancy-related issues, postnatal, repetitive strain, sports injuries, nerve-related issues and many more.

The benefits of Osteopathy can help everybody, from babies to the elderly.
